- Star Wars:
- The Old Republic will launch its first content update, and you will most like be up to your eyeballs in Rakghouls and Hutts… or maybe you’ve not made it to 50 yet because you’ve been absorbed in the story and leveling alts. According to BioWare developers, there arewow gold for sale 200 hours of gameplay in each class story, so even if someone were to have played eight hours a day every day over the last month, he would only have one level 50. I say, don’t feel bad if you haven’t hit 50 yet. It means that you are enjoying the game the way it was meant to be enjoyed and not skipping anything.
- That said, it’s not going to hurt to learn about this new update, although I suggest that, if you’re into the story as much as I am, you don’t read the patch notes… spoilers! Dang, BioWare, could you be a bit more ambiguous about the PTS patch notes next time? It’s like someone leaning over halfway through the first screening Empire Strikes Back and saying, “Oh, by the:
- //www.myswtorcredit.com/Buy-Swtor-Credits-6-0.html">cheapest swtor credits way, Darth Vader is Luke’s father.” NOOOOO! It’s impossible! Being someone who is interested in the story revolving around SWTOR, I do love the continued use of Rakghouls in the newest update. Sure, some would call it an easy storytelling trope (zombies and all that). I’ll admit it. I’m not going to hide behind “these are ghouls, not zombies.” I love the story, but in truth these are Star Wars zombies. But I do find the history of the Rakghouls interesting. Honestly, I don’t know how much of the story has been retcon’d after their first appearance in BioWare’s first venture into the Star Wars IP, Knights of the Old Republic, but the roots of the Rakghouls stem from the birth of the Sith Empire. I love the way it all comes together. If you have been following the Hyperspace Beacon, then you will recall the column in which I talked about the formation of the Sith Empire on Korriban by the Dark Jedi exiles. Using Sith alchemy, these Dark Jedi intermingled their DNA with those of the native Sith species. Some historians believe that Sith Alchemy was part of the reason the Hundred Years of Darkness started in the first place. Usually, this dark magic involved mixing the Force with science to create weapons or creatures that were somehow more powerful than the sum of their parts. It can be argued that the symbolic weapon of the Jedi, the lightsaber, is a form of Force Alchemy, but no moral lines are blurred when creating a lightsaber. Sometimes, Sith Alchemy required living hosts — and possibly torture. Like many Sith, Lord Karness Muur desired to conquer the galaxy. When you’re a power Sith Lord, what else are you going to do? Certainly not gardening. To help facilitate his passion, Muur dived into Sith Alchemy, creating what would eventually be known as the Muur Talisman. This artifact was able to change a humanoid into a mindless monster known as a Rakghoul. However, the first incarnation of the talisman would not change Force Sensitives or certain other species into Muur’s mindless slaves, so instead of changing the talisman, Muur changed the Rakghouls. Muur ensured that if someone were bitten or scratched by one of these creatures, that person would be transformed into a Rakghoul himself. This later became known as the Rakghoul virus, although whether it’s an actual virus is debated.

Rise of Rakgoules, the first major update for Star Wars The Old Republic, was expected today as part of the weekly maintenance of MMORPG. After some WoW Goldproblems, the deployment is postponed to a later date
Just one month after the release of MMORPG, BioWare announced the deployment of the first major update for Star Wars The Old Republic. Called Rise of rakgoules, it promises including high-level content, a change of Ilum, the world devoted to PvP in open area, or a disputed area facing unprecedented players to rakgoules, creations of a mutant Sith Lord .
The deployment of the update was due today (or almost every Tuesday morning, SWTOR is the subject of a maintenance). It will eventually be a littleswtor credits patient: after “identifying problems” (reported, we are told by the players on test servers), this content patch 1.1 is “postponed to a later date” no other details at this time. We will wait, then.
It is a little over a month now that the game was released, at least for the early access, so it's an opportunity to take stock of the game we WoW Goldwent out to meet more players for have their impressions after the first month.
Several types of players and players have responded to our questions, whether readers of the site editors or players from the guild Millennium. During the week, every day, one of them will give us his opinion on Stars War: The Old Republic.
Hello, before you start, can you introduce yourself to our readers? Currently what is your level of play?
Hi all! I Padmay, GM (acronym for Great Manager!) Of the Millennium guild on Star Wars The Old Republic. I play MMO since WoW release and I tested a little while what has been done since. I am level 50 in recent weeks, sacrificing a little vacation.
Bioware has a lot of work on the script of the game, either on the class quests, quests general, or the background of the game What is your opinion on this?
The pexing, no one likes (or so). SWTOR with the pexing is transcended, and it is fun to ride his character, or even a reroll. I think the script is really very good of the game, who raises even more immersion.
The other major aspect is the full dubbing the dialogues? How did you find it? You play in the original or French?
I hate the French versions, be it in film or video games, however, for what I heard, the voice acting in SWTOR are well made, but I will not give up my game so far VO!
In any MMORPG (or so), there is a phase of leveling. What did you think? Is it that it was fast, fun, difficult?
I found, as mentioned above, very friendly, the pexing group is favored, the planets are (almost) all great fun to explore. Some quests are difficult, what we had not seen for a long time and it's always fun!
Is this period has allowed you to fully understand your class?
Yes, it was during this time that I “tamed” my gameplay, my template and I theorycrafté.
How do you find? Whether on the gameplay, the technical and fun. Will bring you change if you could?
I really find that classes evolve during the leveling, we feel the rise, the gameplay is expanding to level 20 then 30 and finally 50. I would do it shorter if I could, although it is nice, I still not too pex.
The first space missions are unlocked by obtaining the vessel. Did you tested?
I did every day, very profitable in terms of XP and have enough funs. Some are far from trivial.
As for the atmosphere, story and quests, what is your feeling about the planets and different areas. Is that a place has marked you?
I think I preferred the planet Tatooine is, we find the emblematic places, and lots of Tusken massacre!
For group play, there are several aspects. What is your impression on heroic missions?
The heroic missions are really paying off in terms of XP, some are quite hard (Lack of Staff of Alderaan), and it's nice to have them at 2 instead of 4 for example, with some CC and coordination.
The disputed areas?
I must admit that while leveling, I have not done a lot of instances, except for the black clamp (the first), and the Mandalorian Raiders Cademimu Streets. They are friendly, but I have not had the opportunity too to make them in normal mode. For heroic instances (level 50), there are six that are quite diverse, a little difficult when you are not a lot of equipment.
And operations? The script is it always this raid?
The script is present, but very little. It was a cinematic at the beginning of the operation, and much more. But we feel we advance in the operation, for example in the House of Eternity, the final boss often speaks to us and is changing the story, but not in the form of cutscenes.
PvP is also a part of the game Do you have faced the enemy players while leveling, outside war zones?
I did a lot of PvP while leveling, when I was tired of doing quests. In PvP, I have met a few players, I remember once being dead 1V2 on Tatooine when I was soloing a heroic quest, the Jedi scum!
And war zones, a preference for one in particular? Do you find swtor Power Levelinginteresting PvP?
I love the Huttball, and can not wait to play as a team premade and there is a ladder. The combinations and possibilities of the war zone are really huge. This is a capture the flag with the flag
One of the great strengths of Cataclysm has been WoW Power Levelingto propose an overhaul of the old world that had not changed between Vanilla and WOTLK. This will include quests that earned thickness, fun and linearity, along the lines of what was begun in Burning Crusade and perfected with WotLK.
However, for players level 80 or 85 the thing lost a little interest unless they are passionate about history or the deeds. We could find a thousand and one reasons to return to the ancient world, however, they remain anecdotal and there is actually little real interest in taking his backpack to go there as tourists.
Blizzard is aware of this fact, and freely admits his design errors in a message published on the official forums Daxxari WoW:
It was a mistake we made with the design of Cataclsym, but give an interest in the old world to the players is something that we want to meet with Mists of Pandaria.
We already know that this will pass through the outdoor PvP will be encouraged and facilitated in MoP, even with PvE scenarios, but otherwise things are still unknown. Hopefully we learned more before the next Blizzcon and the California firm provides more details soon, it swtor power levelingwould be unfortunate if the colossal work provided by the studio has finally escaped the majority of players.
One of the problems put together by the community for the textures of the characters. Indeed, we rule the game high and low resolution, our character, as well as thewowgold other players appear with low quality textures.
Somewhat frustrating, since in the kinematic they are all in high definition. This has been reported by the community on the official forums, and after a hundred pages, a definite answer has finally been made. Response that I find extremely frustrating, and I guess also for many of the players.
First point: the three quality settings are a bug. In fact, there are only two, high and low. The average quality should not appear for that specific option.
Second point: the choice of Bioware on how to manage textures.
- In the scenes, where the number of players is limited to display the textures appear as high.
- In the rest of the game, when you move into the world when you are in combat, where a large number of characters may appear, the texture quality is set to low.
This decision was made for technical reasons, so the title will run on a wide range of machine and have a smooth game.
But now there is no option to change that and if not removed by Bioware, it's not a feature that will happen quickly.
Players will have to continue to look to evolve their characters in “low quality”. For my part, I find it a somewhat negative and frustrating. Currently, both games on free-to-play or subscription, players are willing to spend great sums in euros, just to have a special skin, a horse, a pet and other gadgets “funs “. So have to settle for low quality texture is a weak point for a game wanting to be a major player in 2012. Therefore hope that an option to see at least hischeap swtor credits own character in high resolution will come soon.
